WOVEN GROUND: Igusa at Colive Fukuoka 2026
Colive Fukuoka brings digital nomads, entrepreneurs and creators from around the world to Fukuoka for an extended stay. Now in its fourth year, it welcomed 496 participants from 57 countries and regions in 2025. The 2026 edition kicks off on September 30 with the World Nomad Conference, a one-day international conference hosted by the City of Fukuoka, where 17 community leaders from 10 countries and regions discuss how visitors and local communities can grow together. The program continues through October 10.

Across the venue, igusa(raw material of Tatami) from Yatsushiro, Kumamoto, which grows more than 98% of Japan's domestic igusa, takes many forms: rugs at every sponsor booth, portable benches, woven tapestries, Mona Lisa igusa art, and tatami islands in the garden.
