Well packaged, quick shipping, and an exceptionally high quality product. The care and craftsmanship which went into the mat is evident. It is also designed in such a way that it is compact and easy to both use and store. A perfect blend of traditional craft and modern convenience.
Exceptional item as it adds very much to the atmosphere. Thank you!
Great service, great products, awesome present!, I could not have a better experience overall, going to buy more products here in the future. Thank you!
I am so glad to know that I can order from Ikehiko. I first learned about them through a kickstarter campaign for a beautiful 5-panel tatami mat and recently bought a matching yoga mat. I love their work and shipping was quick and my mat was very well packaged.
I love my igusa tatami yoga mat! The smell is heavenly and the mat very secure. I bought a 5-panel foldable tatami mat in a prior crowdfunding campaign and fell in love with the lovely designs and fabulous scent of the igusa. Highly recommend!!

Why Are Japanese Rooms So Calming?
The answer is tatami. Its grassy scent, the way it balances humidity, the way it helps keep the air fresh — a natural flooring Japan has lived with for centuries.
Ikehiko Quality
We make some pieces ourselves and carefully select others from artisans. Whether they come from our own workshops or from craftspeople across Kyushu, the standard is the same: real natural materials from Kyushu, shaped by genuine skill.
