Himika 'Ito': An incense made by Kanori-no-miya, a workshop in Itoshima, Fukuoka, from a dozen-odd natural materials alone, with no synthetic fragrance. The name comes from Ito, the Yayoi-era kingdom that once flourished in this part of Itoshima.
A single stick that tells a story. Made with a master perfumer, 'Ito' moves from a top note through a middle to a last as it burns, changing its expression the further it goes. It is delicate enough that the impression shifts with the room, whether wood, plaster, or flooring, and with distance and the weather. Its clear, fresh top note suits the moment you start the day with morning meditation or breathing practice.
